EMMi Digital Asset Management is a service owned and developed by Grano Oy for the management, sharing and archiving of digital assets and the management of marketing projects. The service is used via web browser.
EMMi is ideal for use as an image bank, product information bank and communications tool that centralises the data transfers of an organisation and its stakeholders. The service can also be expanded with an optional project management add-on. Together, EMMi Digital Asset Management and EMMi Project Management make it possible to manage all of your archiving, data transfers, communication design and proof approvals through a single service.
EMMi allows you to manage the production and publishing processes of your digital assets. Its APIs also make it possible to access the assets stored in the service and their associated metadata via other systems. EMMi can also convert image assets into different sizes and file formats in accordance with the needs of other systems.

A flexible way to share digital assets
EMMi offers numerous ways of sharing and publishing asset collections, entire directory structures or individual files.
Customisable user interface
EMMi’s directory folders can be edited with a content editor, allowing you to create instructional text content and images for the service’s folder views, for example. Assets stored in the service can be viewed in either a grid, gallery or list view. Assets can also be sorted based on their metadata (such as name, file extension, file size, last edited and status).
Easy and secure sharing
Deliver links to individual files or collections directly to recipients via email. Use collection carts to easily compile assets and share them with a single link. You can also create direct public links to specific directories on the service, bypassing the need to log in to the service. In practice, doing this converts the directory hierarchy into an open media bank. If you do not want the directories that you share to be completely public, you can restrict access to them with a separate password.

Define rights by user group
The directory structure of the service is fully configurable by the client. You can configure the rights for reading, saving and editing assets, for editing the directory itself and for creating sub-directories separately for each directory. The rights can be different for each user group. The service supports an unlimited number of user groups, and an individual user can belong to several groups simultaneously.
Account registration form
You can allow users to register accounts themselves using the account registration form. New users can be automatically assigned to specific user groups based on the options that they choose on the account registration form, or you can leave the approval of new user accounts up to an administrator.
Create public links
You can also easily share digital assets with persons who have not registered a user account. Create public links to specific directories or files, which you can also password-protect if necessary to ensure security.

Create different sections for different user groups in the service. Decide freely what each user can see and do.
Search functionality
Finding the assets that you need is straightforward on any device – whenever and wherever you are. With EMMi's advanced search functions, you can quickly find the file, asset or directory you need.

Headless Server
EMMi Digital Asset Management is able to operate as a headless server in addition to normal use. This is done via its API. The service also offers ready-made integration modules, such as the GS1 Synkka Media module, which is suitable for the food industry. Synkka is a product information service for the retail sector, which is used by the food industry, the HoReCa sector and companies that enrich product information to provide various additional services to consumers.
Rest API
EMMi features a modern, well-functioning Rest API that allows other systems to use EMMi as an origin server for images. In addition to digital assets, the API can be used to search for all the metadata of the assets, which can also be used as search criteria for API searches (e.g. an image can be searched by GTIN number if it is included in the image metadata). You can also place a so-called CDN service between EMMi and a third-party service, e.g. if you need to retrieve images globally.
